Maps as Art

For my 'curating an exhibition' art theory essay I am focusing on artists who use maps and the mapping process. I was doing some research and came across David Thomas Smith - a photographer that creates kaleidoscope like patterns from satellite map images. The finished outcomes are amazing, so I thought I'd share them with all of you, my (non existent) followers!

Here are two of my personal favourites - (to see more, his website is http://cargocollective.com/dtsmith/ANTHROPOCENE )
